The gift I’ll never forget – my grandmother’s Lladro figurine; article in The Guardian
When I was six, my grandmother Eunice promised me that one day I would look just like the slender, balletic china figurine she kept in her special cabinet in the living-room. When I was 18, she gave me the figurine, which now lives in our spare room.
