After some time away from my writing desk – having my son Caleb, now a toddler; and coping with new motherhood in the midst of a global pandemic (not a walk in the park, I don’t mind admitting – although actually we did do a lot of walking in parks) – I’m thrilled to announce that my third novel, Gifts, will be published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in November 2021.

It’s a novel in short stories with a Christmas theme: we follow 12 characters in a fictional Kent market town (the eagle-eyed among you may have noted that I myself recently moved from London to Kent) as they choose Christmas gifts.
